Welcome to the 8th Hutton Symposium on Granites and Related Rocks!The most important and traditional international meeting on granitic magmatism is being held for the first time in South America from 20 to 25th of September 2015 at the Oceania Convention Center, located in the beachtown of Ingleses, Florianópolis, Santa Catarina Island, Brazil. We hope you will enjoy all the scientific, cultural and social experiences offered by the event, taking advantage of such a unique opportunity to a scientific high-level meeting in a wonderful location.
If you have not yet registered, you can do it on-site at the secretariat from September 20th at 17 h. Attendants will receive the Abstracts Volume in a pencard, but its content is already available for download here. The detailed Program, with the main scheduled activities and allocation of posters will be distributed in printed form, and can be download here .
Also available for download is the guide for the mid-conference fieldtrip that will occur on Wednesday September 23rd (here). This excursion will allow all participants to visit exposures of Neoproterozoic granitic-rhyolitic magmatism and Mesozoic dykes related to the opening of the Atlantic Ocean while appreciating the scenery landscape and some of the most beautiful beaches of Florianópolis.It is free of charge to all regular attendants.
