– By default, all abstract submissions will be considered for poster presentation. The Scientific Program Committee reserves the right to select few abstracts for oral presentations (in English). The final allocation of your presentation will be communicated by the Scientific Committee according to the Congress calendar.

ABSTRACTS INSTRUCTIONS:

• Abstracts may be submitted in English. Abstracts submitted with multiple spelling and grammatical errors will be summarily rejected.
• The abstract should contain the title, followed by the names of the authors, Department, Institution and State where the work was done.
• To ensure that your name is mentioned in a uniform manner, the author must standardize your first and last name in all the summaries in which is author or co-author.
• The abstract should contain maximum number of characters in 3500 (including spaces).
• The abstract should contain: introduction, objectives, methods, results and conclusions.
• The abstract should contain information relevant to the work, such as age and gender in the case of experiments with humans, age, weight and gender in the case of the use of laboratory animals.
• The quantitative results will not be accepted without the numerical values ​​(e.g .: number of samples, mean and standard error, percentage of control, etc ...).
• references of citations should be kept to a minimum and, if necessary, mention: journal name abbreviated, volume, , year (e.g .: Brain Res 472:. 24.1992).
• When the experiments involve animals or humans must necessarily add  the approval code (protocol / process / number) of ethics committee on animal or human experimentation .

The electrical power in Maresias is 220V @ 60 Hz. . Brazil has recently adopted a new type of socket, so an adapter may be necessary for charging your electronic gadgets. The new socket type has 2 or 3 holes (see figure below).

Climate
Brazil’s vast territories, the different geographical areas, altitudes and air masses result in a wide variety of climates. November is spring time! Probably hot and sunny !

Language
As a heritage of the Portuguese discoverers and settlers, Brazil is a Portuguese-speaking country, the only one in the Americas. Portuguese is a Latin-based language.

Currency
The local currency is the Brazilian Real (R$) and the official exchange rate varies daily. At the present, April 16, the exchange rate is approximately 4 R$ for 1 USD (US Dollar). Most establishments will accept major credit cards but ATMs machine may be difficult to find. However, payment in cash of bills and services should be done in local currency. Bank hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Tax and tipping
All local taxes are included in the price advertised in store windows or shown on bills. Tips in restaurants are often indicated in your bill, usually as a voluntary 10% charge over the total bill.
