Some words on safety
Some people feel inhibited to visit Brazil, because of safety and security
issues. In fact, the danger in Brazil, including the main cities of Rio
de Janeiro, Salvador and São Paulo, is probably similar to anywhere in Europe
or North America. Violent crimes against tourists or foreign visitors are
extremely rare. If they occur, naturally they become headlines. Brazil is
politically stable with no terrorist activities.
