WELCOME LETTER

The Sociedade Brasileira de Radiologia Intervencionista e Cirurgia Endovascular/ SOBRICE (Brazilian Society of Interventional Radiology and Endovascular Surgery) has the pleasure of inviting everyone to the 22nd  Congress of SOBRICE, to take place from August 08 to August 10, 2019, at the Centro de Convenções Rebouças convention center in São Paulo.

The main focus of this event will be on the traditional sessions of interventional radiology in oncology, percutaneous procedures, and neuroradiology and on endovascular surgery. The presentations on endovascular surgery will emphasize the treatment of abdominal aortic aneurisms, peripheral vascular interventions, and venous interventions. In addition, specific themes related to embolization will be discussed, with the purpose of maintaining SOBRICE as Latin America´s foremost embolization program.

As usual, leading national and international societies, such as the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe (CIRSE), will attend the Congress, along with prominent specialists in this field. The objective is to address the latest innovations in this specialty, discuss complex and challenging cases and present the best scientific papers.  We are also working to strengthen our partnership with the Sociedad Iberoamericana de Intervencionismo (SIDI), with the purpose of consolidating this medical specialty in Latin America.

An additional novelty at this year´s Congress will be the inclusion of sessions aimed at medical residents and recent interventional radiology graduates to discuss career perspectives and difficulties of this profession. We look forward to seeing you at the biggest Interventional Radiology Congress in Latin America.
