Interdisciplinary Connection

Interventional Radiology is a specialty characterized by its extensive interaction with other medical specialties. It is the epitome of multidisciplinarity.

Our relationship with other medical specialties is based on a mutual interest in pursuing the best treatment options for our patients. In that vein, we regularly discuss cases, hold multidisciplinary meetings and sit on tumor boards, allowing knowledge to flow among all specialties and for all members to both teach and learn simultaneously.

SOBRICE sponsors the Interdisciplinary Connection Campaign to help spread knowledge, to present different interventional radiology treatment options to related fields, and to keep our colleagues abreast of our medical specialty.

Through this campaign, we seek to bring medical specialists to the conference who can work together with interventional medical practitioners.

How the campaign works?

When interventional radiologists register on the SOBRICE 2021 website (www.congressosobrice.com.br), they are prompted to recommend a colleague from another field (oncologists, gastroenterologists, hepatologists, surgical gastroenterologists, endocrinologists, urologists, gynecologists, surgical oncologists), who will be given the opportunity to register for the event at no additional cost.

This is one example of how SOBRICE works to ensure that interventional radiology continues to expand and to support not only its members, but primarily all of the patients who benefit from interventional techniques.

PS: Interventional radiologists, vascular surgeons and diagnostic radiologists are not considered colleagues from another field for the purposes of this campaign.
