The organizing committee will make every effort to provide as many travel awards and Young Investigator Awards as possible. Such awards will consist of cash support of up to US$ 500 to trainees (undergraduates, PhD students and post-docs) who have submitted an abstract as first authors.
Travel Awardees will be selected on the basis of scientific merit of their abstract and will be notified prior to the event.
ESPCA participants who have already received travel/lodging support will become ineligible for further Travel and YI Awards.
Travel Award winners will not be further eligible for YIA. Judgement of the YIA will be made on the basis of the abstract rating plus on-site ratings of quality of the work (relevance, strength of mechanistical insights, accuracy) as well as quality of either poster or oral presentation (intellectual involvement, scientific level of discussions and extent of activities performed by the investigator in the study). YIA recipients will be announced at the final ceremony. Please indicate in the abstract form whether or not you are eligible to such Awards.
Credits for PhD disciplines
Coordinators of some disciplines of several PhD programs may be able to attribute credits to PhD students who fully attend the ESPCA. Please check with your specific program or discipline coordinator.
