TRAVEL AWARDS FOR YOUNG INVESTIGATORS
JOINT MEETING ISAN-AAS-2011
The Local Organizing Committee (LOC) and the International Programming Committee (IPC) of the Joint Meeting of the ISAN-AAS are working to raise funds to support the travel expenses of young investigators (PhD students, post-doctorates and clinical research fellows) attending the meeting in Búzios, Brazil. The number and value of the awards are not yet established. However, we are happy to announce that ISAN and AAS have contributed to fund a number of travel awards. We will release more information in May on our website. Those selected by the LOC and IPC will be informed about their travel awards no later than July.
To be eligible for these travel awards the requirements are the following:
1) You must be a PhD. student, post-doctorate or clinical research fellow and be the first author on a submitted abstract;
2) After your registration and abstract submission, and no later than April 30, you should send an e-mail to
( viviane@eventus.com.br ) in which you must attach:
a) Personal information (PhD student, post-doctorate or clinical research fellow), institution, city and country;
b) A letter from your advisor/supervisor explaining why this travel award is important for the applicant to attend the Joint Meeting (no more than 200 words);
c) A copy of your abstract submitted to the Joint Meeting of ISAN-AAS;
3) You are not required to be a member of ISAN or AAS to be eligible to apply but we would be delighted if you would join one or both of our Societies.
