22nd SYMPOSIUM OF THE AMERICAN AUTONOMIC SOCIETY (AAS)

Yes, now it is the right time to start to plan your trip to Brazil in 2011 to attend the 7th Congress of the International Society for Autonomic Neuroscience (ISAN). Therefore, on behalf of the local organizing committee we welcome you to this site and we hope that you will find here enough information to convince you to attend the 7th Congress of ISAN and also to assist you to plan your trip to Búzios/Brazil in 2011.

Considering that the scientific activities in general and the autonomic neuroscience in particular are increasing very well in Brazil and also that we have a young and dynamic scientific community, we believe that the ISAN meeting in Brazil will be a great opportunity for the international scientific community of autonomic neuroscience to interact with the Brazilians in order to foster scientific cooperation programs, since Brazilians Agencies for Research Development are supporting international exchanging programs for faculties and mainly for our graduated students and post-docs.

The 7th Congress of ISAN will have the logistic support from some of the Societies of Experimental Biology in Brazil, which will make the local organization of this Congress much easier for our ISAN local committee, since these societies have a large experience in organizing large and important international scientific meeting in Brazil in the recent past. In addition, we have already the support of the Brazilian Agency of the Federal Government for Tourism (Embratur).

At this time it is really important to emphasize that our main goal for the organization of the 7th Congress of ISAN is to provide to the national and international community of basic and clinical autonomic neuroscience an outstanding scientific program, which will be a great t picture of the contemporary frontiers in our field.

We hope to see you in Búzios/Brazil in 2011.
